Amazon Expands Delivery Flexibility with New Time Slot Options Across Major South African Cities

November 4, 2025
2 min read

The feature retains the same pricing structure as Amazon’s existing same-day service, with delivery slot options priced at R2 and no minimum order requirement.

Amazon South Africa  has launched Multiple-Delivery Windows, a new service designed to give customers greater control and flexibility over when their orders are delivered. The feature is now available in Johannesburg, Pretoria, and Cape Town, offering shoppers the ability to schedule deliveries up to one day in advance and select from three preferred time slots throughout the day.

The service provides customers with the choice of morning (08:00–13:00), afternoon (13:00–18:00), or evening (17:00–20:00) delivery windows. This improvement aims to eliminate one of the biggest challenges for online shoppers in South Africa — uncertainty about delivery times — by providing clear, predictable scheduling options that align with busy lifestyles.

Multiple-Delivery Windows will be available for customers in postal codes eligible for same-day delivery, with the option to select preferred slots directly at checkout. The feature retains the same pricing structure as Amazon’s existing same-day service, with delivery slot options priced at R2 and no minimum order requirement.

The rollout of this new service underscores Amazon’s commitment to continually enhancing the shopping experience in South Africa. By offering more control over delivery timing, the company seeks to improve convenience, reliability, and customer satisfaction — ensuring that South African shoppers can receive their purchases exactly when it suits them best.
