Ghana NCA Opens Its Doors to UENR Students for Hands-On ICT Learning Experience

The visit, which formed part of the students’ practical learning experience, enabled them to gain firsthand knowledge of the Authority’s regulatory functions and operations.

At the NCA Tower in Accra, over 100 students from the Information Technology and Decision Science Department of the University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) in Sunyani were hosted by the National Communications Authority (NCA)  on a study visit.

Led by Dr. Michael Opoku and Mr. Jacob Mensah, the students were taken through the operations of the NCA. They were briefed on Spectrum Management, Regulatory Frameworks and Policy, Cybersecurity, amongst others. The students also had the opportunity to tour some of the Authority’s facilities and installations.

The visit, which formed part of the students’ practical learning experience, enabled them to gain firsthand knowledge of the Authority’s regulatory functions and operations. It also highlights the NCA’s commitment to fostering industry-academia collaboration and supporting future professionals in the ICT sector.
