Morocco Reviews Progress in Digital Transformation, Artificial Intelligence, and 5G Deployment

On Monday, October 3, 2025, Minister Amal Al-Falah Al-Sagroshny, Minister delegated to the Prime Minister in charge of Digital Transition and Administration Reform, reviewed the progress of Morocco’s national digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and communications infrastructure programs during a parliamentary session dedicated to oral questions from members of Parliament.
In her address, the Minister outlined the government’s efforts under the framework of the “Maghreb Digital Vision 2030,” which aims to accelerate Morocco’s transition toward a fully digital and inclusive economy. She emphasized that ongoing work includes preparing the legal framework for administrative digitization and launching joint national digital platforms to improve accessibility, efficiency, and transparency of public services.
Minister Al-Falah Al-Sagroshny also highlighted Morocco’s active participation in developing responsible and sustainable artificial intelligence, notably through initiatives such as the Morocco Digital Center for Sustainable Development (D4SD Hub) and Aljari Institutes, alongside training and education programs designed to equip children and youth with digital and AI skills.
In the field of communications, the Minister reported significant progress in expanding digital coverage across rural and mountainous regions, ensuring that all citizens benefit from the Kingdom’s digital advancements. She also confirmed the launch of 5G projects with investments exceeding 80 billion dirhams, marking a key milestone in strengthening Morocco’s technological infrastructure and competitiveness.
Furthermore, Minister Al-Falah Al-Sagroshny announced progress on the activation of the Amazigh language within public administration systems, ensuring inclusivity in the country’s digital and administrative transformation. She reaffirmed the government’s commitment to pursuing structural reforms that will establish an open, efficient, and citizen-centered digital administration aligned with national priorities and the directives of the country’s leadership.
