Egypt Launches First National ServiceNow Training Program to Empower Youth and Drive Digital Transformation
The collaboration seeks to equip Egyptian youth with advanced digital skills and provide employment opportunities in the ServiceNow ecosystem, one of the world’s leading platforms for managing enterprise services across IT, HR, and operations.
Egypt’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) has announced the launch of a national program aimed at qualifying young professionals in ServiceNow technologies, marking the first initiative of its kind in the country.
The program follows the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Information Technology Institute (ITI), the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ Egypt), Capgemini Egypt, the Deloitte Innovation Hub, and Vodafone Intelligent Solutions (VOIS). The collaboration seeks to equip Egyptian youth with advanced digital skills and provide employment opportunities in the ServiceNow ecosystem, one of the world’s leading platforms for managing enterprise services across IT, HR, and operations.
Under the partnership, GIZ Egypt will provide international licensing and official training content for the ServiceNow platform, while ITI will design and implement specialized qualification programs aligned with global standards. Participating private sector partners will help identify top candidates, deliver hands-on training, and offer job placements to distinguished graduates.
Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Dr. Amr Talaat, emphasized that the initiative reflects Egypt’s vision to build a competitive, innovation-driven digital society and to strengthen youth employability in both local and global technology markets. He noted that the ICT sector continues to play a vital role in driving Egypt’s economic growth and job creation.
Dr. Heba Saleh, Head of the ITI, highlighted that the initiative aims to close the skills gap in the technology labor market, positioning Egyptian talent as globally competitive and enhancing the country’s standing as a regional hub for digital services.
From the partners’ side, Mr. Holger Elie, Director of Development Cooperation at the German Embassy in Cairo, reaffirmed Germany’s commitment to supporting inclusive digital transformation that benefits all segments of society. Capgemini Egypt’s Executive Deputy CEO, Eng. Hossam Saif Eldin, described the initiative as a model of successful public-private cooperation to empower youth with the skills needed for the future of work.
Eng. Ahmed Salem, Executive Director of Operations at the Deloitte Innovation Hub, praised Egypt’s young talent pool and underscored the importance of ServiceNow training in advancing the country’s Vision 2030 digital goals. Similarly, Eng. Tamer Kandel, Head of the Technology Sector at Vodafone Smart Solutions Egypt, noted that the program reinforces the company’s commitment to developing technical skills that align with global technological trends and labor market needs.
The initiative represents a major step in Egypt’s digital capacity-building agenda, combining government leadership, private sector expertise, and international cooperation to prepare a new generation of technology professionals ready to drive innovation and inclusive growth.
