The agreement, formalised, marks a strengthened partnership aimed at advancing public sector digitalisation and fostering citizen-centred digital services.

Kenya has taken a major step forward in its digital transformation agenda following the signing of a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Denmark. The agreement, formalised, marks a strengthened partnership aimed at advancing public sector digitalisation and fostering citizen-centred digital services.

The MoU was signed on behalf of Denmark by H.E. Stephan Schønemann, the Ambassador of Denmark to Kenya, alongside Kenyan representative Hon. William Kabogo Gitau. The partnership reflects a shared commitment between the two nations to promote innovation, enhance service delivery, and build modern digital systems that meet the needs of citizens.

According to Hon. Kabogo, the collaboration will unlock opportunities in key areas such as digital public infrastructure, interoperability frameworks, capacity building, policy dialogue, and expert exchanges. It will also create platforms for mutual learning and technical cooperation between Kenya and Denmark.

The agreement represents a significant milestone in Kenya’s ongoing efforts to modernize its public sector and accelerate the country’s digital transformation journey through international partnerships and knowledge sharing.
