Snowflake and SAP Partner to Deliver Unified AI Data Cloud for Enterprise Innovation
The partnership aims to help organizations unify, analyze, and act on semantically rich business data to drive AI-powered transformation.
Snowflake, the AI Data Cloud company, and SAP SE, a global leader in enterprise applications and business AI, have announced a new collaboration to integrate Snowflake’s AI Data Cloud with SAP’s Business Data Cloud (BDC). The partnership aims to help organizations unify, analyze, and act on semantically rich business data to drive AI-powered transformation.
Under the collaboration, Snowflake’s AI Data Cloud will become a SAP solution extension for SAP BDC customers. The new SAP Snowflake solution extension for SAP Business Data Cloud combines SAP’s expertise in mission-critical business data with Snowflake’s unified AI and machine learning capabilities. The two companies will also enable zero-copy data sharing between SAP BDC and Snowflake, allowing enterprises to seamlessly access, integrate, and analyze data in real time while maintaining full governance.
Through SAP Snowflake, customers can build a trusted, AI-ready data foundation by harmonizing SAP and non-SAP data, enabling them to accelerate AI adoption and develop intelligent business applications. The integration provides flexibility for enterprises to use Snowflake as a scalable compute and storage option while extending the value of SAP’s business data across their digital ecosystems.
The collaboration also introduces SAP Business Data Cloud Connect for Snowflake, which facilitates bidirectional zero-copy data sharing between the two platforms. This feature allows existing Snowflake users to connect directly with SAP Business Data Cloud for real-time access to SAP’s semantically rich data products, eliminating the need for duplication and improving data efficiency.
The partnership is already gaining traction among global enterprises. AstraZeneca, a leading biopharmaceutical company, noted that the collaboration enhances its ability to access, process, and analyze real-time data, accelerating its mission of delivering life-changing medicines.
SAP Snowflake is expected to become generally available in Q1 2026, while SAP Business Data Cloud Connect for Snowflake is scheduled for H1 2026. Together, the companies aim to empower thousands of customers worldwide with a unified data ecosystem designed to unlock AI innovation, strengthen data governance, and deliver faster, more intelligent decision-making across industries.
