Gabon to Launch Pilot Phase of Digital Education Project in Partnership with Huawei and Moov Africa
The project aims to advance distance learning, particularly in scientific disciplines where several provinces continue to experience a shortage of qualified teachers.
The Ministry of Digital Economy, Digitalization, and Innovation of Gabon has announced plans to launch the pilot phase of a new digital education project by the end of November 2025 in Libreville and Oyem. The initiative, driven by the vision and leadership of President Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema, marks a major milestone in the country’s ongoing efforts to modernize public administration and the education system through digital transformation.
The project aims to advance distance learning, particularly in scientific disciplines where several provinces continue to experience a shortage of qualified teachers. By leveraging technology, the program seeks to bridge educational gaps and ensure equal access to quality learning opportunities across regions.
In collaboration with Huawei and Moov Africa Gabon Télécom, the initiative will also enhance connectivity, promote digital inclusion, and equip young Gabonese students with skills for the future.
The digital education project underscores Gabon’s commitment to building a modern, inclusive, and technology-driven education ecosystem that supports national development and prepares the next generation for a competitive digital economy.
