The Ministry’s endorsement highlights Ghana’s growing emphasis on local innovation as a catalyst for digital inclusion, economic competitiveness, and the development of a knowledge-based economy.

The Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Hon. Samuel Nartey George (MP), has reaffirmed government’s commitment to fostering homegrown technological innovation, describing local Artificial Intelligence (AI) initiatives as vital to Ghana’s digital transformation agenda.

The Minister made the remarks during a courtesy visit by officials from Dodo Technologies Limited, a Ghanaian AI and communication technology company, who briefed him on preparations for the upcoming Dodo Summit 2025, scheduled to take place on 10th December 2025 at the UPSA Auditorium in Accra.

Hon. George commended Dodo Technologies for its pioneering work in developing indigenous AI-driven solutions to address communication challenges across various sectors. He emphasized that empowering local innovators aligns with the government’s vision of building a self-reliant, inclusive digital economy, underpinned by data sovereignty, innovation, and robust digital governance.

During the meeting, Mr. Kane Mani, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Dodo Technologies, presented the company’s groundbreaking AI platform designed to “end fragmented communication” by unifying internal communication, customer engagement, and public interaction within organizations. He noted that the technology was developed entirely in Ghana, showcasing the country’s growing capacity for innovation and technological excellence.

The upcoming Dodo Summit 2025, themed “The End of Fragmented Communication,” will convene policymakers, private sector leaders, innovators, and technology enthusiasts to discuss AI policy, digital governance, and the future of communication in Africa.

The Ministry’s endorsement highlights Ghana’s growing emphasis on local innovation as a catalyst for digital inclusion, economic competitiveness, and the development of a knowledge-based economy.
