China Telecom and Kenya Explore Collaboration to Boost Digital Transformation
This initiative forms a key part of Kenya’s Digital Superhighway and Creative Economy Pillar under the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA), reflecting the government’s strategy to harness technology for economic growth and efficiency.
The Government of Kenya has reaffirmed its commitment to attracting investment to accelerate the country’s digital transformation. A meeting was held at the Ministry Headquarters between government officials and a delegation from China Telecom Corporation Limited, led by Mr. Lin Gui Qing.
Discussions focused on deepening collaboration in the ICT sector, with particular emphasis on leveraging artificial intelligence (AI), enhancing cloud computing, and developing data centers in Kenya. The parties also explored ways to advance the digitisation of government services, aiming to transform public service delivery through modern digital technologies.
