Chinguitel and Huawei Complete Major Network Modernization Across Mauritania

Chinguitel  has completed the modernization of its entire network in Nouakchott, Mauritania, as part of a major initiative to enhance digital infrastructure and high-speed internet services. The upgrade was carried out in collaboration with Huawei  and forms a key component of Chinguitel’s broader digital transformation strategy aimed at keeping pace with rapid technological developments and growing demand for reliable internet connectivity.

The modernization project supports the country’s digital government initiatives and enables a range of modern services, including e-learning, digital banking, and smart city applications. It also ensures improved service quality for subscribers, offering faster and more dependable internet access.

Chinguitel plans to expand the number of network stations in Nouakchott and extend the development and modernization process to other cities across Mauritania by the end of 2025. The initiative reflects the company’s commitment to providing advanced telecommunications solutions and achieving its vision of being the operator most closely aligned with the needs and aspirations of its customers.
