Namibia Opens MTC Mobile Home in Divundu to Boost Connectivity

The launch reflects Namibia’s broader strategy to enhance digital inclusion and strengthen telecommunication infrastructure in underserved communities.

Minister of Information and Communication Technology, Emma Theofelus, officially opened MTC’s Mobile Home in Divundu, Mukwe Constituency, on 17 November 2025, underscoring the Government’s commitment to expanding telecommunications access across Namibia.

In her keynote address, Minister Theofelus highlighted that the initiative is part of ongoing efforts to provide nationwide connectivity, ensuring all Namibians have access to reliable communication services. She emphasized that the new mobile facility will save time and reduce travel costs for residents, eliminating the need for long commutes between Divundu and Rundu to access essential telecom services.

The launch reflects Namibia’s broader strategy to enhance digital inclusion and strengthen telecommunication infrastructure in underserved communities.
