OpenText Launches AI Data Platform to Help Middle Eastern Enterprises Scale AI Securely
The platform addresses the convergence of data and AI, providing organizations with secure, scalable, and governed capabilities to manage and activate their private information.
OpenText, a global leader in secure information management for AI, has unveiled its OpenText AI Data Platform, designed to help Middle Eastern enterprises scale AI securely and effectively. The announcement was made at OpenText World 2025, the company’s flagship annual event, highlighting OpenText’s vision for the future of enterprise AI in the region. The platform addresses the convergence of data and AI, providing organizations with secure, scalable, and governed capabilities to manage and activate their private information.
The launch comes at a pivotal time for the Middle East, where AI adoption is high, with 84% of organizations reportedly using AI. However, only 31% have successfully scaled it across the enterprise, according to the McKinsey State of AI in GCC Countries 2025 survey. OpenText AI Data Platform aims to bridge this gap by ensuring enterprise AI deployments are built on secure, contextual, and governed data, enabling organizations to generate reliable and auditable business outcomes while respecting local data sovereignty requirements.
“The Middle East is one of the fastest-moving regions for AI adoption. Our platform empowers organizations to transform proprietary data into secure intelligence, ensuring AI investments drive real, audited business value.”
– George Schembri, Vice President & General Manager, Middle East, OpenText
In addition, OpenText announced an expanded partnership with Databricks, enhancing technical integration and enabling Delta Sharing within the AI Data Platform. This collaboration allows enterprises to unify, govern, and analyze their data seamlessly, unlocking trusted AI insights and accelerating innovation at scale.
OpenText’s platform strategy emphasizes contextual, high-quality data enriched with metadata tags for lineage, rights, and retention policies. OpenText Aviator, sitting atop this rich data layer, drives accurate AI results while adhering to multi-cloud, multi-model, and multi-application standards—ensuring compatibility with on-premises, cloud, and hybrid deployments, any AI model, and integration with enterprise systems such as ERP and CRM.
Alongside the AI Data Platform, OpenText introduced new offerings to accelerate enterprise AI adoption, including OpenText Aviator Studio, a no-code platform for building and governing AI agents, and enhancements to OpenText Knowledge Discovery, which automates metadata tagging and connects structured and unstructured data sources in real-time. OpenText also highlighted OpenText Data Compliance services and OpenText Aviator AI Services, which help customers cleanse data, implement AI agents, and measure ROI.
Collectively, these innovations reflect OpenText’s commitment to delivering a unified, end-to-end approach for secure, contextual, and scalable enterprise AI. The company continues to collaborate with ecosystem partners including SAP, Microsoft, and Google to ensure regional enterprises can meet unique requirements for AI and data sovereignty while leveraging advanced AI capabilities.
