The collaboration focuses on three major digital transformation projects that merge Vodafone Qatar’s network strengths with Microsoft’s cloud and artificial intelligence capabilities.
Vodafone Qatar, in partnership with Microsoft, has introduced a suite of cutting-edge digital solutions designed to elevate the country’s connectivity, enhance cybersecurity resilience, and improve customer experiences. The new technologies align with Qatar National Vision 2030 and were unveiled at the Mobile World Congress in Qatar.
The collaboration focuses on three major digital transformation projects that merge Vodafone Qatar’s network strengths with Microsoft’s cloud and artificial intelligence capabilities.
A key highlight is the deployment of an AI-driven interactive voice response (IVR) system that modernizes the company’s call center operations. Powered by smart automation and Vodafone Qatar’s internal knowledge base, the system manages international calls, supports basic customer queries, escalates complex issues, and sends automated follow-up notifications. Users can engage with AI agents for quick assistance or switch to human staff when more tailored support is needed.
Vodafone Qatar is also launching a next-generation voice service built on Azure Communication Services. This feature allows customers to place secure, high-quality calls directly through the MyVodafone app without incurring roaming charges or unexpected fees. The service runs over Wi-Fi, broadband, or mobile data and offers real-time billing, regulatory compliance, and carrier-grade performance.
Another significant development is the ongoing creation of an AI-powered Cybersecurity Operations Centre (CSOC) supported by Microsoft’s Security Copilot. The center is expected to streamline security investigations, improve threat detection accuracy, and use specialized AI agents to enhance data protection and operational reliability.
HE Sheikh Hamad Abdulla Jassim Al-Thani, Vodafone Qatar’s CEO, said the collaboration strengthens the company’s push toward innovation and reinforces its commitment to cybersecurity leadership. He noted that integrating Microsoft’s AI solutions with Vodafone’s robust infrastructure will help accelerate the nation’s digital progress.
Microsoft Qatar’s General Manager, Ahmed El Dandachi, emphasized the growing importance of AI agents in driving digital modernization. He stated that these intelligent tools enable businesses to adapt quickly, improve efficiency, and deliver exceptional customer service, helping set new industry benchmarks.
