Tradepost is designed to strengthen Côte d’Ivoire’s role in regional digital trade by streamlining cross-border commerce and modernizing trade processes.

Abidjan has officially launched the Tradepost project alongside a regional workshop dedicated to developing a new e-commerce hub for the ECOWAS region. The event took place on Monday, December 1, 2025, and was presided over by Mr. Assoua Raymond, Cabinet Manager at the Ministry of Digital Transition and Digitalization, representing Minister Ibrahim Kalil Konaté.

Tradepost is designed to strengthen Côte d’Ivoire’s role in regional digital trade by streamlining cross-border commerce and modernizing trade processes. The platform aims to accelerate customs procedures, reduce logistical costs, and better connect Ivorian small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to both African and international markets.

In his remarks, Mr. Raymond highlighted Tradepost’s strategic importance, emphasizing its role in opening new economic pathways for Ivorian businesses and enhancing the country’s competitiveness in the digital economy.

The accompanying three-day regional workshop brings together stakeholders to exchange experiences, share best practices, and contribute to deeper economic and digital integration across the ECOWAS region.
