Namibia’s CRAN and UNAM Partner to Boost ICT and Cybersecurity Capabilities

The Communications Regulatory Authority of Namibia (CRAN) and the University of Namibia (UNAM) have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen collaboration in the fields of ICT, cybersecurity, research, and capacity-building.
This partnership is aimed at promoting academic excellence and technological advancement, while equipping Namibian students and professionals with the skills and knowledge needed to support the country’s growing digital ecosystem. Both institutions emphasized their commitment to empowering Namibia’s digital future through shared initiatives, joint research projects, and targeted training programs that will enhance the nation’s ICT and cybersecurity capabilities.
The MoU represents a strategic effort to foster innovation, develop local expertise, and ensure that Namibia remains at the forefront of technological development in the region.
