Airtel Tanzania to Build 132 New Towers Across Rural Wards, Aiming to Close the Digital Divide

Airtel Tanzania has announced the continuation of its collaboration with the Universal Communication Service Access Fund (UCSAF) by signing Phase 10 of their partnership, aimed at expanding communication services in rural areas. The signing ceremony was attended by the Guest of Honor, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Hon. Angellah Jasmine Mbelwa Kairuki (Mb).
Under this new phase, Airtel Tanzania will construct 132 of the 201 towers mandated for development across various wards. This initiative is part of a broader effort requiring all service providers to enhance rural connectivity and reduce the digital divide.
The company reaffirmed its commitment to delivering high-quality, reliable, and modern communication services to Tanzanians, ensuring that both urban and rural communities benefit from expanded network coverage.
