The collaboration combines Huawei’s global ICT expertise with Yassir's position as a leading digital services and mobile payments platform across the Middle East and Africa.

Huawei  has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Yassir,  establishing a long-term strategic partnership aimed at advancing Algeria’s digital transformation and reinforcing its role in the regional technology ecosystem. The signing ceremony took place at Yassir’s headquarters in the capital, attended by executives Tony Shi and Noureddine Taybi, alongside management teams from both companies, followed by a press briefing outlining the partnership’s objectives and plans.

The collaboration combines Huawei’s global ICT expertise with Yassir’s position as a leading digital services and mobile payments platform across the Middle East and Africa. The partnership focuses on building advanced digital infrastructure and delivering innovative, scalable solutions for both organizations and end users.

Key areas of cooperation include the development of e-commerce platforms leveraging cloud computing and artificial intelligence, enhanced processing capabilities through Huawei Kunpeng and Ascend servers, and support for mobile payment solutions, including the integration and expansion of Yassir Cash. The initiative also targets smart mobility, digital supply chains, and telecommunications, contributing to Algeria’s broader digital transformation agenda.

In addition to technical collaboration, Huawei and Yassir plan to support the national technology ecosystem through initiatives that foster young talent, organize hackathons, host innovation programs, participate in major technology events, and support startups and entrepreneurs. This approach aims to create a sustainable digital ecosystem benefiting a wide range of stakeholders in the sector.

Founded in 1987, Huawei is a global leader in ICT infrastructure and smart devices, serving over 3 billion users in more than 170 countries. The company employs approximately 207,000 people and continues to invest heavily in research and development to drive innovation and connectivity worldwide.
