Burkina Faso to Launch Online Platform for Filing Criminal Complaints
The platform is expected to provide judicial actors with a secure and integrated workflow for processing cases, covering all stages from complaint reception to final verdict.
The Ministry of Digital Transition, Posts and Electronic Communications, together with the Ministry of Justice, held a joint working session on December 9, 2025, to finalize preparations for a new digital platform designed to modernize judicial procedures. The session focused on the operationalization of the “Criminal Chain Parquet Module,” a system that will allow citizens to file complaints online, removing the need for physical travel and simplifying access to justice.
The platform is expected to provide judicial actors with a secure and integrated workflow for processing cases, covering all stages from complaint reception to final verdict. By digitizing these procedures, the system aims to streamline the work of legal professionals, strengthen traceability, and reduce administrative delays within the criminal justice process.
Government officials acknowledged the efforts of the technical teams responsible for the project, praising the platform as a significant advancement in the digitization of the criminal chain in Burkina Faso. The official launch of the platform is scheduled for December 15, 2025, in Ouagadougou.
