Guillaume Poupard Named Orange Chief Trust Officer Amid Focus on Trusted Cloud and AI Solutions

Orange has named Guillaume Poupard as the Group’s Chief Trust Officer, effective February 1, 2026. The appointment underscores Orange’s commitment to reinforcing its strategy in digital sovereignty, trust, and cybersecurity, particularly amid evolving geopolitical pressures.
Reporting directly to CEO Christel Heydemann, Poupard will define and implement Orange’s strategy on sovereignty and trust, working closely with Orange Business and Orange Cyberdefense. His efforts will focus on accelerating the development of innovative offerings in cybersecurity for B2C and B2B markets, trusted cloud solutions, and AI solutions.
Poupard brings extensive expertise in cybersecurity, holding a degree in weapons engineering and a PhD in cryptology. He served as Director General of the French Cybersecurity Agency (ANSSI) from 2014 to 2022 and currently is Deputy CEO of Docaposte, a subsidiary of La Poste Group overseeing digital technologies including cybersecurity, AI, and cloud computing.
