Odeyemi described the contribution as a strategic measure that will enhance nationwide access to NIN registration, particularly in underserved communities.

The Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST)  has received a significant boost to the country’s digital identity initiative with the delivery of 350 NIMC-certified Android NIN enrolment devices, donated by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA). The donation was received at NIPOST Headquarters in Abuja, where the KOICA delegation was welcomed by Postmaster General and CEO, Tola Odeyemi.

Odeyemi described the contribution as a strategic measure that will enhance nationwide access to NIN registration, particularly in underserved communities. The devices come fully equipped with enrolment software, training, and deployment support to facilitate effective use.

Mr. Eunsub Kim, KOICA Country Director, highlighted that the donation is part of KOICA’s Digital Governance Project (2022–2026), aimed at strengthening Nigeria’s e-government ecosystem. This initiative underscores NIPOST’s pivotal role in advancing inclusive digital services and supporting the country’s broader digital transformation agenda.
