$1.725 Billion Deal Combines Veeam and Securiti AI to Accelerate Safe AI Adoption

This strategic acquisition positions Veeam as the first company to offer a comprehensive platform that unites data resilience, security, governance, privacy, and AI trust.

Veeam Software  has completed its $1.725 billion acquisition of Securiti AI,  a leader in Data Security Posture Management (DSPM), privacy, governance, and AI trust. The move combines Veeam’s global leadership in Data Resilience—with over 550,000 customers and 82% of the Fortune 500—with Securiti AI’s advanced capabilities in data security and AI governance, creating what the company describes as the industry’s first unified and trusted Data Platform. The platform aims to enable enterprises to see, secure, govern, and recover all data at AI speed.

Veeam CEO Anand Eswaran emphasized that while AI investments are rapidly increasing, nearly 90% of enterprise AI initiatives fail due to untrustworthy data. The acquisition addresses this challenge by integrating Veeam’s data resilience expertise with Securiti AI’s capabilities in DSPM, privacy, governance, and AI trust. The combined platform is designed to give organizations unified visibility across structured and unstructured data, enforce continuous governance and compliance, implement zero-trust security, and ensure clean recovery of data, pipelines, and AI models.

The acquisition also strengthens Veeam’s workforce, with 600 Securiti AI employees joining the company. Securiti AI founder and CEO Rehan Jalil will serve as Veeam’s President of Security and AI. Both Eswaran and Jalil highlighted the strategic importance of the merger, noting that the unified platform provides enterprises with a comprehensive command center to secure and govern their entire data estate while enabling safe AI adoption at scale.

The timing of the acquisition is critical as unstructured data—which represents 90% of enterprise data and is expected to triple by 2029—becomes a major driver of AI initiatives and risk. By delivering real-time visibility, security, governance, and recovery across all data environments, the unified Veeam and Securiti AI platform positions organizations to innovate confidently while protecting their most valuable asset: data.

Key features of the platform include real-time data classification and lineage, integrated DSPM and threat detection, cleanroom-validated recovery, and governed data pipelines to support safe and compliant AI deployment. This strategic acquisition positions Veeam as the first company to offer a comprehensive platform that unites data resilience, security, governance, privacy, and AI trust.
