DMCC Partners with Crypto.com to Advance Tokenised Commodities in Dubai
As part of the agreement, Crypto.com will collaborate with the DMCC Crypto Centre on educational and technical programs to strengthen institutional understanding of tokenisation and promote responsible innovation in Dubai’s growing Web3 ecosystem.
DMCC, the leading international business district driving global trade through Dubai, has announced a strategic partnership with Crypto.com, a globally recognised cryptocurrency trading platform, to promote tokenisation within the commodities market and develop next-generation trade infrastructure.
Under a newly signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), DMCC and Crypto.com will explore the use of blockchain technology to reduce settlement friction, enhance price transparency, and broaden market access across commodities including precious metals, diamonds, energy, and agricultural products. The collaboration will also assess the potential listing of tokenised commodities on the Crypto.com Exchange, subject to regulatory approval and compliance with listing requirements. Additionally, the partners will examine custody models, liquidity facilitation mechanisms, and the integration of digital-asset payments across DMCC’s digital platforms.
As part of the agreement, Crypto.com will collaborate with the DMCC Crypto Centre on educational and technical programs to strengthen institutional understanding of tokenisation and promote responsible innovation in Dubai’s growing Web3 ecosystem. Initiatives under consideration include workshops, hackathons, and capability-building modules for businesses exploring tokenised asset models.
This partnership builds on DMCC’s existing collaboration with the Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA), aimed at advancing global infrastructure for tokenised commodities. Together, these initiatives support the creation of a secure, compliant, and scalable framework for integrating real-world assets into the digital economy.
DMCC is home to over 26,000 companies operating across sectors such as energy, precious metals, diamonds, agri-commodities, and technology. Its ecosystem includes more than 3,400 technology firms, providing unique opportunities to apply blockchain solutions across real-world trade and financial systems. The partnership with Crypto.com reinforces DMCC’s position at the centre of global commodities trade and the emerging tokenised economy.
Through this collaboration, DMCC and Crypto.com aim to modernize how commodities are financed, traded, and settled, while positioning Dubai as a hub for innovation and digital trade infrastructure.
