The initiative, supported by AXIAN Telecom, aims to enhance digital access for students and promote online learning opportunities.

The Ministry of Development of Posts, Telecommunications, and Digital Economy (MNDPT) has signed an agreement with YAS to install free Wi-Fi and hotspots across universities in Madagascar. The initiative, supported by AXIAN Telecom, aims to enhance digital access for students and promote online learning opportunities.

Officials present at the signing included Mr. ANDRIAMAMPIADANA Mahefa, Minister of Development of Posts, Telecommunications, and Digital Economy, Mr. Benoît Janin, General Director of YAS, and Mr. Hassan Jaber, General Manager of AXIAN Telecom.

The rollout of campus-wide Wi-Fi will enable online learning, remote education, and improved access to digital resources, providing students with tools to succeed academically and broaden their educational perspectives. The project reflects the government’s commitment to making internet access a fundamental tool for the country’s youth, while strengthening collaboration with the private sector to drive Madagascar’s digital transformation.
