Through this renewed partnership, Rawbank and Visa aim to reinforce their roles as drivers of digital transformation, promoting a more connected, inclusive, and efficient economy in the DRC.

Rawbank  has announced the renewal of its strategic partnership with Visa,  marking nearly 15 years of collaboration aimed at strengthening the Congolese financial ecosystem. The renewed partnership seeks to drive innovation, enhance security, and expand financial inclusion across the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

The initiative builds on Rawbank’s efforts to modernize infrastructure, promote e-commerce, and increase awareness of digital payments. A key focus will be on transaction security, with the deployment of tokenization technology to ensure safer and more reliable digital transactions.

In addition, the partnership will support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) through new business solutions and expense management tools, aimed at professionalizing the local entrepreneurial sector. Rawbank will also introduce virtual cards and “Companion Cards” to meet evolving mobile payment needs, while programs targeting women, youth, and entrepreneurs—such as the Visa Academia Card—will help integrate more Congolese into the formal economy.

Through this renewed partnership, Rawbank and Visa aim to reinforce their roles as drivers of digital transformation, promoting a more connected, inclusive, and efficient economy in the DRC.
