Lenovo Appoints Tareq Alangari to Lead Middle East, Türkiye, and Africa Operations
Lenovo aims to leverage AI-driven solutions, cloud infrastructure, and advanced computing technologies to empower governments, enterprises, and consumers across the region.
Lenovo has announced the appointment of Tareq Alangari as Senior Vice President and President of its Middle East, Türkiye, and Africa (META) business. He will officially join Lenovo on January 5, 2026, leading the META operations from the company’s Regional Headquarters in Saudi Arabia.
The appointment aligns with Lenovo’s strategy to strengthen its presence in META and support national digital transformation initiatives, including Saudi Vision 2030, the UAE National Digital Strategy, Dubai Smart City, Qatar National Vision 2030, and the African Union Digital Transformation Strategy. Lenovo aims to leverage AI-driven solutions, cloud infrastructure, and advanced computing technologies to empower governments, enterprises, and consumers across the region.
Tareq Alangari brings 25 years of experience in technology, telecom, cloud, and digital industries. He previously served as CEO of e& enterprise Saudi Arabia, where he established and scaled the business in areas including digital infrastructure, cloud, AI, cybersecurity, and FinTech. His expertise is expected to accelerate Lenovo’s regional transformation and innovation.
Lenovo has also been investing in META through the establishment of its Regional Headquarters in Riyadh and a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in partnership with Alat in Saudi Arabia. These initiatives aim to enhance local production, strengthen supply chain resilience, deliver tailored solutions, and foster local talent.
Under Alangari’s leadership, Lenovo intends to expand its role as a trusted technology partner in the region, supporting digital adoption, economic growth, and sustainable innovation across the Middle East, Türkiye, and Africa.
