The Wi-Fi 8 architecture focuses on four strategic areas: multi-AP coordination, spectrum efficiency, coverage and range, and latency optimization. Innovations such as Coordinated Beamforming (Co-BF), Dynamic Subband Operation (DSO), Enhanced Long Range (ELR), and Aggregated PPDU (APPDU) enhance connectivity, reduce interference, and deliver consistent, low-latency performance.

MediaTek  has introduced its Filogic 8000 family at CES 2026, marking a significant leap forward in wireless technology as the company positions itself at the forefront of the upcoming Wi-Fi 8 ecosystem. Designed to deliver ultra-reliable, low-latency connectivity, the Filogic 8000 series targets a broad range of devices, including gateways, smartphones, laptops, smart TVs, streaming devices, tablets, IoT products, and AI-driven applications. With the proliferation of connected devices creating crowded wireless environments, MediaTek’s Wi-Fi 8 technology aims to ensure seamless, stable performance across all use cases.

The Wi-Fi 8 architecture focuses on four strategic areas: multi-AP coordination, spectrum efficiency, coverage and range, and latency optimization. Innovations such as Coordinated Beamforming (Co-BF), Dynamic Subband Operation (DSO), Enhanced Long Range (ELR), and Aggregated PPDU (APPDU) enhance connectivity, reduce interference, and deliver consistent, low-latency performance. These advancements make Wi-Fi 8 particularly well-suited for high-demand, AI-enabled environments, including extended reality (XR), cloud gaming, industrial automation, and other latency-sensitive applications.

MediaTek’s Filogic 8000 series also emphasizes power efficiency and scalable connectivity. By enabling multi-AP cooperation, optimized spectrum sharing, and improved uplink performance, Wi-Fi 8 ensures a superior user experience even in high-density networks. The company’s demonstrations at CES 2026 underscore its commitment to innovation and its leadership in advancing next-generation wireless technologies, following the successful rollout of Wi-Fi 7.

Industry leaders and partners have praised MediaTek’s early adoption of Wi-Fi 8. Executives from RUCKUS Networks, Buffalo Inc., HP, ASUS, Acer, Korea Telecom, Adtran, Arcadyan, and Foxconn highlighted MediaTek’s forward-thinking approach and its role in shaping the future of reliable, high-performance connectivity for homes, enterprises, and industrial applications.

The Filogic 8000 series is expected to reach customers later this year, targeting premium and flagship devices. By supporting a new wave of AI-driven and latency-critical applications, MediaTek is enabling the next generation of connected experiences, ensuring that Wi-Fi remains the backbone of global digital innovation.
