Eutelsat Appoints Eva Birgitte Bisgaard as President of Connectivity Business Unit

Eutelsat  has announced the appointment of Eva Birgitte Bisgaard as President of its Connectivity Business Unit, a role that also sees her join the Group’s Executive Committee. The announcement was made via the company’s official LinkedIn page, highlighting a key leadership move as demand for secure and resilient connectivity services continues to grow globally.

Bisgaard brings more than 25 years of international experience spanning telecommunications, technology, and connectivity-driven businesses. She joins Eutelsat from Maersk Tankers, where she served as Chief Commercial Officer, leading global commercial engagement with customers and partners while driving digital innovation. Her responsibilities also included overseeing sales and services operations, as well as leading decarbonisation and transformation initiatives.

Before Maersk Tankers, Bisgaard spent nearly two decades at Danish telecommunications operator TDC, where she held a range of senior leadership positions across wholesale, B2B and B2C operations. Most recently at TDC, she served as Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer of YouSee, the group’s consumer-focused entity.

In her new role, Bisgaard will lead Eutelsat’s Connectivity Business Unit, leveraging her commercial expertise and experience in connectivity-led transformation to support the company’s growth ambitions. Her appointment comes at a time of increasing demand for high-performance, secure and resilient connectivity solutions across government, enterprise and mobility markets.

Commenting on her appointment, Bisgaard said she was honoured to take on the role, noting Eutelsat’s unique position in global connectivity. She added that she looks forward to building a trusted, European-anchored connectivity business alongside Eutelsat’s teams and partners, serving enterprises and governments worldwide.
