January 9, 2026
2 min read

As always, LINX’s investment strategy focuses on strengthening operational excellence and evolving its exchange platforms to support the long-term growth of the Internet ecosystem.

The London Internet Exchange (LINX)  has announced their new service profile and fees for 2026, reinforcing its commitment to delivering exceptional value, scalability, and long-term support to its global membership community.

As a member-owned, not-for-profit Internet Exchange Point (IXP), all members pay a monthly membership fee and LINX pride themselves on delivering increased value here, while also reinvesting into their infrastructure year on year for the best possible experience.

The 2026 updates continue this tradition, offering more capacity, more flexibility, and more opportunities for members to scale their networks.

What’s Changed for 2026?

  • 10Gbps Peering Service on 100GE Port Access Networks can now consume 10Gbps of peering on a 100GE port making the step-up to 100GE even easier.
  • Membership Value Doubled LINX have increased the service bandwidth included in the monthly membership fee from 2Gbps to 4Gbps over a 10GE port:
  • The first service of up to 4Gbps will be included free of charge at each LINX operated location in the UK, US and Africa – that’s 36Gbps of potential service included 1. The services applicable include Peering, Microsoft Azure Peering Service, Private VLAN, or a Closed User Group.

“We listen to the feedback from our members and monitor the changes in our industry to judge how best to increase value to the community. For many of our members, this enhancement offers a direct reduction in operational networking costs and a simplified path to expanding services.”

Megan Atkins, CCO, LINX

As always, LINX’s investment strategy focuses on strengthening operational excellence and evolving its exchange platforms to support the long-term growth of the Internet ecosystem.
