By harnessing digital technology, the government ensures that support reaches the intended beneficiaries promptly while reducing delays, leakages, and misallocation.

The Ministry of Agriculture  has announced remarkable progress in rolling out the Farmer Input Support Programme (FISP) under its fully digital e-Voucher system. Official data shows that over 99% of targeted farmers have successfully redeemed their agricultural inputs, demonstrating the system’s efficiency in promoting transparency, accountability, and timely access to essential farming resources nationwide.

The impressive redemption rate underscores the increasing confidence farmers have in the e-Voucher platform, which has simplified the distribution of seeds, fertilizers, and other critical inputs during the planting season. By harnessing digital technology, the government ensures that support reaches the intended beneficiaries promptly while reducing delays, leakages, and misallocation.

This achievement has been made possible through strong collaboration with the private sector, particularly accredited input suppliers and agro-dealers. Their extensive networks have helped guarantee smooth and reliable delivery of farming inputs across both rural and urban areas. The Ministry highlighted that these partnerships play a crucial role in expanding access and maintaining consistency in input distribution.

Officials reiterated the government’s commitment to maintaining a farmer-friendly, accountable, and sustainable FISP, designed to boost agricultural productivity and foster long-term sector growth. The success of the e-Voucher system positions it as a leading model for digital agricultural support programs in the region.
