The integration enables secure digital identity verification through Bahrain’s national digital identity platform, enhancing customer onboarding and authentication processes while maintaining strict security and regulatory standards.

GFH Financial Group (GFH)  has announced the successful go-live of eKey for Business (EKEY-B) across its digital services, marking a significant milestone in the Group’s ongoing digital transformation strategy. The integration enables secure digital identity verification through Bahrain’s national digital identity platform, enhancing customer onboarding and authentication processes while maintaining strict security and regulatory standards.

Through eKey for Business, GFH customers can complete onboarding using biometric verification and government-validated identity data, enabling a seamless and trusted digital experience. The initiative supports GFH’s objective of delivering efficient digital services while ensuring full compliance with regulatory and risk management requirements.

The solution was implemented in collaboration with Beyon Connect and under the leadership of Bahrain’s Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA). This partnership enables secure, efficient, and trusted digital interactions across GFH’s digital ecosystem, reinforcing confidence in digital financial services.

Commenting on the development, Osama Nasr, GFH Group Chief Digital & Technology Officer, said the implementation of eKey for Business represents an important step in advancing the Group’s digital capabilities. He noted that the successful rollout reflects strong collaboration with Beyon Connect and iGA and supports GFH’s goal of delivering secure, streamlined, and compliant digital experiences for clients.

By completing the integration ahead of regulatory timelines, GFH becomes one of the early adopters of Bahrain’s national eKYC platform within the financial sector. This positions the Group as a digitally progressive institution and demonstrates its commitment to innovation and regulatory readiness.

Christopher Hild, CEO of Beyon Connect, welcomed the collaboration, stating that Beyon Connect is pleased to support GFH in the rollout of eKey for Business, highlighting a shared focus on security, innovation, and trusted digital services within Bahrain’s financial ecosystem.

The deployment ensures GFH’s compliance with the Central Bank of Bahrain’s Know Your Customer (KYC) and digital authentication requirements, including the mandatory integration with the national eKYC platform by the end of 2025.
