Mauritania Explores Cybersecurity Partnership with Cybastion to Strengthen Digital Resilience

A delegation from Cybastion met with H.E. Ahmed Salem Badh, Mauritania’s Minister for Digital Transformation and Management, to discuss a potential partnership aimed at strengthening cybersecurity and safeguarding the country’s critical digital infrastructure. The visit reflects Mauritania’s broader vision of fostering an inclusive, sustainable, and competitive digital economy.
The Cybastion team, including Scott Blacklin, Senior Vice President of Government Affairs, and Mohamed Dembele, Managing Partner of the Cybersecurity Business Unit, presented solutions to enhance national digital resilience. Key initiatives highlighted included the development of a national Computer Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT) and the establishment of a Computer Security Operations Center (SOC). The meeting was also attended by Chargée d’Affaires a.i. Corina R. Sanders from the U.S. Embassy in Mauritania, underscoring international collaboration in advancing the country’s cybersecurity framework.
