The initiative is implemented by the Université numérique Cheikh Hamidou Kane (UN-CHK) under the Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy, in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation, the Ministry of National Education of Senegal, and Force-N Sénégal (MEN).

The National Chapter of the Robotics for Good Youth Challenge has officially been launched in Senegal, with the ceremony held at the President Mamadou Dia Administrative Building. The 2026 edition of the competition is themed “Food Security”, reflecting a focus on using technology to address pressing societal challenges.

The competition aims to engage youth in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) through robotics, encouraging participants to design innovative solutions that tackle contemporary social issues. Following the official launch, the national chapter will progress through multiple stages, culminating in the international grand final in July 2026 in Geneva, Switzerland, alongside the AI for Good 2026 World Summit. The program seeks to inspire a new generation of problem-solvers and innovators while promoting STEM education across Senegal.
