Abacus Group Opens Abu Dhabi Office to Expand UAE Cybersecurity and IT Services
With offices now in both cities, Abacus aims to support the full spectrum of the UAE’s financial services ecosystem, providing firms across the country with direct access to locally delivered IT and cybersecurity expertise.
Abacus Group, a global provider of IT Managed Services and Managed Security Services to highly regulated industries, has opened a new office in Abu Dhabi, reinforcing its growing presence in the Middle East.
The Abu Dhabi launch follows Abacus Group’s recent expansion into Dubai, representing the second phase of the company’s strategic growth plan in the United Arab Emirates. With offices now in both cities, Abacus aims to support the full spectrum of the UAE’s financial services ecosystem, providing firms across the country with direct access to locally delivered IT and cybersecurity expertise.
The new office is located within Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), one of the world’s fastest-growing international financial centres. ADGM’s strong regulatory framework, application of English common law, and expanding base of global asset managers and financial institutions have positioned it as a leading destination for regulated businesses seeking a secure and sophisticated operating environment.
Abacus said the expansion is driven by sustained regional demand, as both emerging managers and established global firms continue to establish or expand operations in the UAE. The country’s advanced regulatory environment has been a key attraction, particularly for regulated entities requiring robust technology and cybersecurity support.
Through its Abu Dhabi presence, Abacus will continue working closely with regulators, while enhancing the sharing of threat intelligence through its global cybersecurity capabilities, including incident response and red teaming services.
Commenting on the expansion, Tom Cole, Managing Director of EMEA at Abacus Group, said Abu Dhabi represents a natural next step in the company’s UAE strategy, citing the city’s access to capital, supportive regulatory environment, and strong talent pool. He added that Abacus is well positioned to deliver the IT and cybersecurity capabilities financial services firms require, backed by local expertise and on-the-ground support.
From its ADGM office, Abacus will offer its full range of managed IT, multi-cloud, and cybersecurity services, including its flagship abacusFlex solution, as well as specialized emergency response and red team offerings, helping firms meet ADGM regulatory requirements and strengthen defenses against evolving cyber threats.
