Key outcomes of the meeting include the launch of the Integrated Public Finance Management System (SIGFIP), aimed at streamlining government financial operations, and the MADIGIPAIE project, which introduces electronic payments for public services.

The Ministry of Economy, Finance, Debt and Holdings, in charge of the fight against high cost of living, convened a strategic meeting on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, focused on modernizing public administration and accelerating Gabon’s digital transformation. The meeting was chaired by the Ministers of Economy, Finance, and Digital Economy, who reviewed ongoing reforms and proposed new digital initiatives to strengthen administrative efficiency.

Key outcomes of the meeting include the launch of the Integrated Public Finance Management System (SIGFIP), aimed at streamlining government financial operations, and the MADIGIPAIE project, which introduces electronic payments for public services. In addition, the Unique Participation File (FUP) was established to centralize government participation data, while the Gabon Digital loan program will be extended to support digital projects across the country.

Other initiatives discussed include the regulation of the Gabonese counterparty under the e-Gabon project, the implementation of electronic invoicing systems, and the creation of a national platform for the payment and collection of public revenue. These measures are designed to enhance transparency, reduce administrative bottlenecks, and modernize public service delivery.

Following the meeting, the ministers reaffirmed their commitment to pursuing these structural reforms, emphasizing that they are essential for improving administrative performance and supporting Gabon’s economic growth. Regular follow-up meetings will be organized to ensure the successful implementation and completion of these digital transformation projects.
