UK-Kenya Tech Hub Partners with ViKtoria Ventures to Launch Startup 360 Connect
The program is expected to professionalize angel investing in Kenya, foster structured collaboration, and accelerate cross-border capital deployment, shaping the future of early-stage startup finance in the region.
In a move aimed at boosting Kenya’s startup ecosystem, the UK–Kenya Tech Hub has partnered with Viktoria Ventures, Anza Village, and POV to launch Startup 360 Connect (#S360Connect), an initiative designed to connect talent, capital, and market access for early-stage startups.
At the heart of the program is the Startup 360 Connect Angel Leads Program, led by Viktoria Ventures, which focuses on building confident angel investors and enabling structured capital deployment into high-potential startups. The program represents a shift from awareness-building to active participation in angel investing.
“After years of laying the foundation for angel investing in Africa, this program moves us into the next phase—action, collaboration, and real capital deployment.”
– Stephen Gugu, CEO, Viktoria Ventures
A Three-Pillar Approach
Angel Investor Training & Capital Activation (Viktoria Ventures): Participants receive structured training, hands-on syndicate experience, and commit USD 1,000 into a syndicated deal at the program’s conclusion. This pillar aims to build sustainable local early-stage capital.
- Founder Readiness & Startup School (Anza Village): Startup School Kenya provides a national pathway for founders, developing skills in business modeling, product-market validation, financial literacy, governance, and investor engagement. Founders graduating from Startup School progress into the Angel Leads Program for syndication exposure.
- Market & VC Linkages (POV): Through POV’s GrowthPath, startups and investors gain insights into UK market entry and international expansion, strengthening cross-border networks and investment opportunities.

Significance for Kenya’s Startup Ecosystem
While Kenya is one of Africa’s most active startup hubs, early-stage funding remains concentrated among a small investor pool. Startup 360 Connect aims to democratize access to angel investing, reduce individual risk through syndication, and increase the volume and quality of early-stage investments.
Billy Msagha of the UK–Kenya Tech Hub said that by equipping investors with the skills and networks they needed, they were unlocking sustainable pathways for early-stage capital and strengthening links between the Kenyan and UK innovation ecosystems.
The program is expected to professionalize angel investing in Kenya, foster structured collaboration, and accelerate cross-border capital deployment, shaping the future of early-stage startup finance in the region.
