Cameroon Telecom Regulator Meets New IHS Cameroon CEO to Strengthen Sector Collaboration
She is recognized as the first Ivorian graduate in artificial intelligence, the founder of DUX Côte d’Ivoire, and has served as CEO of IHS Towers Côte d’Ivoire since 2020.
On January 14, 2026, Professor Philémon Zoo Zame, Director General of Cameroon’s Telecommunications Regulatory Board (TRB), held a meeting with Fatim Cissé, the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer of IHS Cameroon, in a move aimed at reinforcing cooperation within the country’s telecommunications sector.
During the meeting, the TRB Director General welcomed Cissé to her new role and expressed confidence in her capacity to address key challenges facing the sector, particularly the improvement of quality of service (QoS). He also highlighted that Cameroon’s telecommunications regulations are currently under review, a process expected to lead to a modernized legal and institutional framework for the industry.
Fatim Cissé thanked the regulator for the reception and reaffirmed her commitment to strengthening collaboration between IHS Cameroon and the TRB. She further announced that the company will soon present its 2026 action plan, noting that Cameroon’s billing and network coverage systems are emerging as benchmarks within the telecom industry.

IHS Cameroon, a subsidiary of IHS Towers, has been active in the country since 2012. The company builds and operates shared telecommunications towers for major mobile network operators, supporting improvements in service quality through infrastructure upgrades, innovative energy solutions, and proactive site maintenance. It has also expanded its social impact initiatives, including the launch of local service kiosks in 2024 aimed at improving access to telecom services in rural areas.
Globally, IHS operates more than 29,700 towers across nine international markets, positioning the group as a strategic partner in telecom modernization and digital inclusion.
The meeting underscores ongoing efforts to consolidate institutional partnerships and accelerate innovation in Cameroon’s telecommunications sector.
