Egypt’s NTI Records Major Gains in Digital Skills and Employment Support by 2025
Overall, NTI reported a total of 49,310 beneficiaries across its programs and initiatives in 2025, underscoring its central role in advancing Egypt’s digital transformation agenda and enhancing the competitiveness of Egyptian talent at regional and global levels.
Egypt’s National Telecommunication Institute (NTI) has reported a significant expansion in digital skills development and job market support by the end of 2025, marking what it described as an unprecedented year of achievement in line with the strategy of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT).
In a statement released on January 8, NTI said it continued to deliver strong national performance in digital capacity building, workforce upskilling, and alignment with labor market needs, reinforcing its role as the ministry’s main training and research arm. The institute, which has more than 42 years of experience, operates as a national and regional center of excellence in ICT training, research, and development.
Throughout 2025, NTI implemented an integrated system of training, educational, and awareness programs that resulted in the graduation of tens of thousands of digital professionals. Training was delivered through NTI’s two main campuses in Cairo (Nasr City and Smart Village), as well as a nationwide network of more than 24 training centers within Egypt’s Digital Creativity Centers (Creativa) across multiple governorates, including the flagship center in the New Administrative Capital. This approach aimed to ensure equitable access to training opportunities nationwide.
Linking training to employment outcomes remained a core focus. The Digital Youth of Egypt | Ready for Employment program trained 1,742 participants in 2025, achieving an employment rate of over 87% through partnerships with more than 85 local and international companies. Additional initiatives, including the Career Launch program and the Job-Tech initiative in cooperation with Nasser Social Bank, recorded strong placement results, with some programs achieving 100% employment rates.
In support of Egypt’s growing digital economy and freelance workforce, NTI trained more than 6,551 participants through its Creativity Centers – Freelancing initiative, with over 73% securing freelance opportunities or completing real-world projects following training.
The institute also placed strong emphasis on youth and early talent development. Through the Cybersecurity Academy for Youth and Emerging Talent, more than 5,016 trainees were trained across 15 governorates, from North Sinai to Aswan. Meanwhile, NTI’s Summer Internship Program 2025, delivered in cooperation with the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), graduated more than 10,299 university and institute students across 27 training tracks.
NTI continued to expand its global partnerships, delivering internationally accredited programs with leading technology firms including AWS, Cisco, IBM, Huawei, Red Hat, VMware, Fortinet, and Avaya. In 2025 alone, more than 3,167 trainees completed programs through the Egyptian Talent Academy, alongside 916 trainees in the Fiber Optics Academy.
Supporting digital transformation within the public sector remained a priority, with nearly 10,000 government employees benefiting from capacity-building programs, including the Digital Leadership Program. NTI also continued its AI Ambassadors volunteer initiative, which has now graduated 7,262 participants, promoting responsible and informed use of artificial intelligence.
On the academic front, NTI achieved accreditation for six equivalent diploma specializations in critical fields such as networks, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, data science, and AI-based software development. It also expanded postgraduate and professional diploma programs under initiatives such as Digilians.
In addition to training, NTI strengthened applied research and industrial support. The institute manufactured 2,600 printed circuit boards (PCBs) for student projects, research, and private companies, and conducted compliance testing on nearly 1,930 telecom towers to ensure adherence to national standards.
Overall, NTI reported a total of 49,310 beneficiaries across its programs and initiatives in 2025, underscoring its central role in advancing Egypt’s digital transformation agenda and enhancing the competitiveness of Egyptian talent at regional and global levels.
