Infoblox to Acquire AI-Powered Security Firm Axur to Strengthen Preemptive Security
The acquisition, which is subject to regulatory approvals and standard closing conditions, is aimed at expanding Infoblox’s capabilities in combating threats beyond traditional network perimeters.
Infoblox, a leading provider of hybrid, multi-cloud networking and preemptive security solutions, has announced a definitive agreement to acquire Axur, a global company specializing in AI-powered external threat detection and disruption. The acquisition, which is subject to regulatory approvals and standard closing conditions, is aimed at expanding Infoblox’s capabilities in combating threats beyond traditional network perimeters.
The move comes as modern cyberattacks increasingly originate outside corporate networks—on fake websites, social media platforms, app stores, and search ads. Scott Harrell, President and CEO of Infoblox, emphasized that organizations need earlier visibility and faster disruption of threats, including phishing, fraud, and brand abuse campaigns.
“Axur extends our preemptive security offering by giving customers the ability to see and stop these threats earlier with rapid, AI-powered detection and takedowns.”
– Scott Harrell, President and CEO, Infoblox
Axur’s platform uses artificial intelligence to automate discovery, validation, takedown, and continuous monitoring of external threats. Its AI-driven processes enable notifications of phishing detections in under four minutes, achieving nearly 99% takedown success rates. When integrated with Infoblox’s existing preemptive security tools, organizations can block malicious infrastructure at the DNS layer while takedowns are underway, reducing median attack uptime from days to hours.
The combined capabilities of Infoblox and Axur will focus on three main objectives: detecting external threats earlier, disrupting malicious infrastructure faster through automation, and protecting brands, executives, and users with less operational effort. By proactively identifying phishing sites, fraudulent domains, fake apps, and leaked credentials, and removing them swiftly, the acquisition is expected to strengthen organizations’ security posture globally.
Fabio Ramos, CEO of Axur, highlighted that joining Infoblox will allow the company to scale its AI-powered threat detection and disruption capabilities worldwide, delivering a more preemptive approach to cybersecurity. Both companies will continue to operate independently until the transaction closes, with completion expected in Spring 2026.
Legal counsel for Infoblox includes Hogan Lovells and Levy & Salomão Advogados, while Axur is advised by Bronstein, Zilberberg, Chueiri & Potenza Advogados and Cooley. Stifel is serving as financial advisor to Axur.
