Côte d’Ivoire Launches MaPoste App to Digitize Postal and Administrative Services

The initiative leverages the National Register of Natural Persons (RNPP) and certified digital identities to ensure secure, traceable transactions while protecting personal data.

On January 16, 2026, the Office of the National Civil State and Identification (ONECI)  and La Poste de Côte d’Ivoire  officially launched MaPoste, a mobile application that enables citizens with a National Identification Number (NNI) to access a digital mailbox and a range of postal and administrative services directly from their smartphones.

The launch event, held at Hotel Azalaï de Marcory, brought together key leaders from Côte d’Ivoire’s digital transformation ecosystem, including the Authority of Regulation of Telecommunications/ICT (ARTCI), the National Agency of the Universal Telecommunications Service (ANSUT), the National Agency for Security of Information Systems (ANSSI), and the Centre for Promotion of Investments in Ivory Coast (CEPICI).

MaPoste combines La Poste’s physical network of over 200 agencies with digital tools to create a “phygital” experience. The platform allows users to securely and conveniently:

  • Receive their national identity card (CNI) at a chosen address
  • Apply for and track administrative documents such as birth and marriage certificates, nationality certificates, criminal records, and residence certificates

The initiative leverages the National Register of Natural Persons (RNPP) and certified digital identities to ensure secure, traceable transactions while protecting personal data. By removing the need for physical keys or agency visits, MaPoste simplifies access to essential services and strengthens public trust in digital government solutions.

This partnership highlights ONECI’s commitment to supporting public, para-public, and private actors in reliable digital identity certification, advancing Côte d’Ivoire’s modernization of administrative and postal services.
