e& Partners with IBM to Deploy Enterprise-Grade Agentic AI for Governance and Compliance
Unveiled at the World Economic Forum in Davos, the initiative represents a shift beyond traditional NLP-based chatbots toward AI that can reason, act, and integrate directly into core enterprise systems.
Global technology group e& has announced a strategic collaboration with IBM to advance enterprise-grade agentic AI, starting with policy, risk, and compliance processes. Unveiled at the World Economic Forum in Davos, the initiative represents a shift beyond traditional NLP-based chatbots toward AI that can reason, act, and integrate directly into core enterprise systems.
The solution, built on IBM watsonx Orchestrate and integrated with IBM OpenPages, leverages over 500 tools and domain-specific AI agents to help employees and auditors quickly access, interpret, and act on legal, regulatory, and compliance information. A joint proof of concept by IBM, GBM (Gulf Business Machines), and e& demonstrated that agentic AI can operate at enterprise scale under real-world conditions.
The deployment enables trusted, explainable, and governed AI capable of streamlining compliance tasks, reducing response times, and providing 24/7 self-service access. By embedding agentic AI into governance, risk, and compliance workflows, e& establishes a scalable foundation for enterprise AI adoption while maintaining regulatory and operational controls.
This collaboration showcases one of the region’s early enterprise-grade agentic AI implementations, integrating AI reasoning and task orchestration into business-critical systems. It also highlights IBM’s hybrid model gateway approach, allowing large language models to run across customer-managed infrastructure under strict governance.
The initiative aligns with e&’s broader goal of embedding AI intelligence into core operations, ensuring faster decisions, consistent policy interpretation, and responsible, human-led innovation.
