January 22, 2026
2 min read

The funding will continue to support Verkada’s AI innovation, global expansion, and service for over 30,000 customers worldwide.

Verkada,  a global leader in AI-powered physical security technology, has announced its expansion into the Middle East with the launch of a dedicated office in Dubai. Fred Crehan has been appointed as Head of Middle East, marking a strategic move to strengthen Verkada’s presence in a region characterized by rapid urbanization, major infrastructure projects, and increasing demand for modern, cloud-based security solutions.

Crehan brings more than 25 years of enterprise technology experience, including leadership roles in launching new offices and building partner ecosystems. The Dubai office will serve as Verkada’s regional hub, supporting existing global clients in the Middle East while focusing on the government, hospitality, retail, logistics, construction, and real estate sectors. Initial recruitment efforts will target sales engineering and leadership positions to scale regional operations.

Verkada’s expansion comes amid growing cloud adoption across the Middle East, as organizations seek efficient, integrated security solutions to manage complex facilities and urban infrastructure. The company’s cloud-based platform provides AI-driven surveillance and analytics, addressing operational and resource challenges while enhancing safety and security.

This move follows Verkada’s recent investment from CapitalG, Alphabet’s independent growth fund, which valued the company at $5.8 billion. The funding will continue to support Verkada’s AI innovation, global expansion, and service for over 30,000 customers worldwide.
