Libyan Telecom Holding Signs MoU with KBR to Advance 5G and Infrastructure

During the meeting, both parties explored opportunities for cooperation, partnership, and joint investment aimed at modernizing Libya’s infrastructure and enhancing fifth-generation (5G) network capabilities.

The Chairman of the Board, Eng. Ali Bin Ghrabia, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with representatives of U.S.-based engineering company KBR , marking a key step toward strengthening Libya’s telecommunications and digital infrastructure. The signing ceremony took place in the presence of the Board Advisor and several directors and department heads from the company.

KBR is a globally recognized firm specializing in engineering consultancy, technological solutions, and infrastructure development. The company brings extensive expertise in delivering major strategic projects, particularly in telecommunications infrastructure, data centers, and cybersecurity.

During the meeting, both parties explored opportunities for cooperation, partnership, and joint investment aimed at modernizing Libya’s infrastructure and enhancing fifth-generation (5G) network capabilities. They agreed to maintain coordination through follow-up meetings to finalize technical and implementation aspects and establish practical frameworks to activate the partnership. The collaboration is expected to contribute to improving the overall quality of telecommunications services in Libya.

Eng. Ali Bin Ghrabia described the MoU as an important milestone in the holding company’s strategy to build strategic partnerships with leading international experts. He noted that such collaborations support knowledge transfer, adoption of advanced technological solutions, and improved sector readiness to meet evolving technological demands, while delivering sustainable value to the national infrastructure.
