Burkina Faso Unveils “Faso Code X” Digital Professions Training Center
Faso Code X reflects a strategic effort to strengthen Burkina Faso’s digital skills ecosystem and prepare the workforce for emerging technology-driven sectors.
On January 23, 2026, the Minister of Digital Transition, Postal and Electronic Communications, Dr. Aminata Zerbo/Sabane, received a delegation from the Faso Code X project, led by Roland Achille Sow, Chairman of the Special Consular Delegation of the Burkina Chamber of Commerce. The meeting served both to extend New Year greetings and to officially present the Faso Code X initiative, a state-of-the-art training center focused on digital professions.
Scheduled to open in February 2026 in Bobo-Dioulasso, Faso Code X aims to train Burkinabe engineers in preparation for the jobs of the future. The center will provide in-person and online courses in critical areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, infrastructure automation, and cybersecurity.
To ensure a high standard of training, the project has engaged international partners and experts from India and the United States, including consultants Bachir and Shantanu, who attended the audience with the Ministry. These partners are expected to contribute technical expertise and guidance to support the center’s curriculum and operations.
Faso Code X reflects a strategic effort to strengthen Burkina Faso’s digital skills ecosystem and prepare the workforce for emerging technology-driven sectors. The center seeks to combine global expertise with local talent development to support the country’s broader digital transformation goals.
