Africa DigiEmpower will provide free, accredited training courses through the Cisco Networking Academy, covering fields such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, digital infrastructure, and other high-demand tech areas.

Cybastion  has officially opened its Gabon office in Libreville, marking a significant step in supporting the country’s digital sovereignty and launching Africa DigiEmpower, a continent-wide digital workforce initiative. The launch event was attended by senior Gabonese officials and leaders from the U.S. private sector, underscoring the program’s strategic importance.

Antonia Oliveira, Managing Director of Cybastion’s Gabon office, presented the company’s ongoing digital transformation projects and highlighted Africa DigiEmpower’s goal of equipping Gabonese youth with essential tech skills, providing pathways into the digital economy. Oliveira emphasized that the initiative reflects the belief that human capital is the primary infrastructure for Africa’s digital development.

Anchored by a sovereign data center, Cybastion will implement digital transformation projects through its Digital Fast Track program, aiming to strengthen Gabon’s digital infrastructure, enhance national cybersecurity capabilities, and expand access to advanced digital solutions.

Africa DigiEmpower will provide free, accredited training courses through the Cisco Networking Academy, covering fields such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, digital infrastructure, and other high-demand tech areas. The initiative is administered by Cybastion’s philanthropic arm, the THEYA Foundation, in partnership with Gabon’s Agence Nationale des Infrastructures Numériques et des Fréquences (ANINF).

Alberto Mounguengui Moudoki, Director General of ANINF, highlighted the agency’s role in delivering training programs and technology camps nationwide. Fatima Kourouma, Program Manager for the THEYA Foundation, officially announced the opening of the program’s registration website, allowing participants to enroll in upcoming courses and trainings. The initiative positions Gabon as a hub for developing digital talent and advancing Africa’s broader technological empowerment agenda.
