The partnership will focus on deploying future-ready and scalable technologies including 5G, cloud-based networks, AI-driven operations, and digital platforms, to support AXIAN Telecom in delivering reliable, secure and high-performance services that meet the evolving needs of individuals, businesses and public institutions.

AXIAN Telecom  and Huawei  have signed a Strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Shanghai to strengthen collaboration in support of Africa’s digital transformation and accelerate the growth of inclusive and sustainable digital economies across the continent.

The MoU deepens collaboration across three key pillars — Digital Connectivity, Digital Finance, and Digital Operations — enabling both companies to jointly modernize network infrastructure, expand digital services and introduce next-generation technologies that improve affordability, resilience, and service quality across AXIAN Telecom’s operating markets.

“This partnership reflects AXIAN Telecom’s core values — long-term commitment, local empowerment, and responsible growth. By working closely with Huawei, we are reinforcing our ability to deliver high-quality digital services while building the digital capabilities Africa needs to compete and thrive in the global economy.”

-Hassan Jaber, CEO, AXIAN Telecom

“We are proud to deepen our strategic relationship with AXIAN Telecom. Together, we will bring advanced technologies and innovation to local markets, supporting sustainable development, improved connectivity and better digital experiences for people and businesses across Africa.”

-Gary Lu, President, Huawei Southern Africa Region Carrier Business

This collaboration further reinforces AXIAN Telecom’s position as a trusted long-term partner to governments, enterprises, and communities, driving digital inclusion, economic development and the development of future-ready digital ecosystems across Africa.
