South Sudan ICT Minister Holds Talks with New Huawei CEO on Tech Partnerships

The Minister of Information, Communication Technology and Postal Services of South Sudan, Hon. Ateny Wek Ateny, held talks with Huawei’s newly appointed Chief Executive Officer for South Sudan, Mr. Wang Shibo, to explore opportunities and partnerships in the country’s ICT sector.
The meeting took place in Juba on February 6, 2026, and focused on strengthening collaboration aimed at advancing technological development and expanding digital infrastructure in South Sudan.
Mr. Wang, who arrived in the country two months ago to assume his role, reaffirmed Huawei’s continued presence and commitment to supporting the growth of the South Sudanese ICT sector.
