The partnership reflects a shared commitment to empowering young Zambians to develop innovative solutions that are globally competitive.

The Ministry of Technology and Science in Zambia , in collaboration with E-Mark Zambia  and Liquid Intelligent Technologies,  has announced a strategic partnership to support the country’s participation in the United Nations AI for Good – Robotics for Good Youth Challenge 2025–2026. The competition, which will culminate in Geneva, Switzerland, focuses on leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics to tackle real-world challenges, with food security as the central theme for 2026. The partnership reflects a shared commitment to empowering young Zambians to develop innovative solutions that are globally competitive.

Minister of Technology and Science, Honourable Felix Mutati, MP, praised Liquid Intelligent Technologies for its role in Zambia’s digital transformation, highlighting the company’s efforts in connecting over 1,300 schools to the internet. He also commended E-Mark Zambia for nurturing young talent and fostering a culture of purpose-driven innovation. Emphasizing that Zambia aims not just to participate but to excel on the global stage, Minister Mutati outlined four pillars for success: talent identification and development, strong mentorship and private-sector partnerships, access to quality resources, and government facilitation to bridge resource gaps. The government has committed to mobilizing all necessary support ahead of the national finals scheduled for March 31, 2026.

Acting CEO of Liquid Intelligent Technologies, Mwendamo Mazaba, announced the company’s financial contribution of K250,000 and its commitment to providing mentorship, technical coaching, and capacity-building to support Zambia’s young innovators. CEO of E-Mark Zambia, Mr. Mwanza, explained that the initiative targets students aged 10 to 18, equipping them with STEM skills and developing AI- and robotics-based solutions. With nationwide participation, the program aims to select the most talented innovators to represent Zambia against over 50 countries globally. This collaboration positions Zambia as an emerging hub for youth-driven technological innovation in Southern Africa and underscores the role of mentorship, strategic investment, and public-private partnerships in fostering global competitiveness.
