MTN Uganda CEO Meets President Museveni to Discuss Accelerating Digital Transformation

Mulinge Sylvia M.B.S, Chief Executive Officer of MTN Uganda , met with His Excellency President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni at State House Entebbe to discuss advancing Uganda’s digital transformation. The meeting focused on private-public collaboration to ensure all Ugandans benefit from a modern, connected life.

During the conversation, President Museveni challenged MTN Uganda to explore ways to bridge the digital divide, enhance infrastructure, and empower citizens across the country—from tech entrepreneurs in Kampala to farmers in rural districts—with the tools needed to succeed in a global economy.

Mulinge Sylvia expressed gratitude for the President’s commitment to fostering an innovation-friendly environment. She emphasized that moments like these highlight the significance of leadership and the pivotal role of connectivity in national development.

“Together, we are not just connecting people; we are powering Uganda’s future,” Mulinge said, reflecting MTN Uganda’s mission to drive digital progress for all citizens. She reaffirmed the company’s dedication to supporting a fully digital Uganda through continued collaboration with the government and other stakeholders.
