Morocco Ministries and AXA Sign Strategic Partnership to Boost AI and Technology Competencies

The collaboration aims to establish a YEROM-organized cooperative framework to strengthen national competencies in technology, data, and artificial intelligence (AI).

A strategic partnership agreement was signed at Parc Technopolis, Rabat Shore, bringing together the Ministry of Industry and Trade , the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation,  the Ministry of Digital Transition and Administration Reform,  and AXA Group.  The collaboration aims to establish a YEROM-organized cooperative framework to strengthen national competencies in technology, data, and artificial intelligence (AI).

The agreement was signed by Riyadh Mazour, Minister of Industry and Trade; Ezzuddin Al-Medawi, Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation; Amal Al-Falah Al-Sgroshny, Minister of Digital Transformation and Administration Reform; and Matteo Kaya, Director General of AXA Group and President General Manager of AXA GO.

Under the framework, universities and public higher education institutions will be actively involved, alongside selected schools under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, including the Central School in Casablanca, the University of Textile and Clothing Industries, the School of Arts and Vocations – Rabat Complex, and the University of Commerce and Contract Management.

During his speech, Minister Mazour highlighted that the agreement represents a strategic opportunity to enhance the quality of academic composition and scientific research, while strengthening cooperation between academia and the business sector. He emphasized the critical importance of technological empowerment for Moroccan competencies, particularly in response to the transformations brought about by artificial intelligence in higher education.

Mazour further described the partnership as a launchpad for building national competencies capable of driving innovation and digital transformation, ensuring students and teachers acquire skills aligned with modern technological advancements.
