MTC Namibia and BoFiNet Sign MOU to Strengthen Cross-Border Connectivity

This strategic collaboration highlights efforts to boost regional integration and support the expansion of reliable, high-speed digital services in southern Africa.

MTC Namibia  and Botswana Fibre Networks (BoFiNet)  have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to enhance digital connectivity between Namibia and Botswana. The agreement was formalized yesterday in Gaborone and aims to strengthen regional digital infrastructure.

Under the MOU, the two parties will collaborate on cross-border fibre interconnection, capacity exchange, IP transit, and initiatives to drive digital transformation. The partnership will also reinforce the critical Buitepos-Ngoma corridor, improving network resilience and reducing latency for users across both countries.

This strategic collaboration highlights efforts to boost regional integration and support the expansion of reliable, high-speed digital services in southern Africa.
